ABOUT US

“Skateboarding starts with more failures before eventually managing TO ridE down a street or doING a basic trick. Then after giving the process of learning some acceptance and time, eventually improvements are made while realizing, that it’s not a shame to fail, it’s even a bigger mistake to not even try.”

-Daniel Glucke, Empowerment Coach

WHO WE ARE

The Concrete Riders team is made up of individuals who are passionate about skateboarding and dedicated to creating an inclusive skateboarding culture that benefits local communities. A foundation of mateship and a shared love of skateboarding motivates them to pass on the benefits that skateboarding has brought to their own lives through their teaching. They strive to instil a positive impact at a personal and community level—deeply committed to the development and operation of skateboarding programs that give back to their local community.

OUR STORY

Concrete Riders was founded during a time of unexpected twists and turns when the world suddenly halted.
Its creation was driven by a passion for getting youth outside and active, promoting positive social, physical, and mental health benefits through skateboarding, which has become more important than ever.
Since its launch in 2020, the world of skateboarding has expanded, and with its recent entrance to the Olympics, its received legitimate recognition as a global sport and recreational activity. Skateboarding is no longer reduced to an underground subculture but is now widely recognised as a form of creative and artistic expression and a healthy lifestyle.

OUR TEAM

At Concrete Riders, we are proud to have Australian Skateboarding Federation (ASF) certified coaches who are committed to developing and nurturing a skater's confidence, skills and natural style on a skateboard. The top priority for our coaches is ensuring the safety of skaters while supporting them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. They work hard to create a positive and supportive learning environment while instructing skaters in the latest techniques and proficiency on a skateboard.

Our vision is to provide an authentic and inspiring skate platform that promotes an inclusive culture and community for skaters. We strive to create a safe and fun environment where skaters can stay active and share their passion for skateboarding while respecting each other and the planet.

  • Respectful

We practice respect for ourselves, for each other and for our environment, inspiring others to do the same.

  • Inclusive

Skateboarding brings us together. Our everyday commitment is to encourage all individuals to have equal respect, dignity, fairness, a caring attitude and self-esteem within our space.

  • Inspiring

By focusing on cultivating a positive mindset, we can unlock our inner confidence and approach new challenges with a can-do attitude. This kind of self-assurance creates opportunities and paves the way for student success at any age.

The safety and well-being of our people and our students is our first priority.

  • Fun!

We inspire others to dream big, celebrate the stoke of skateboarding and just have fun.
